No ice from the ice maker
Work in this order. First, is the freezer cold enough? Ice stalls when the freezer runs warm. Second, is the ice maker switched on and the bin arm down? Third, is water arriving? Check the shutoff valve, the line and the filter. Only then suspect the inlet valve or the ice maker module.
Range element or oven will not heat
On electric ranges a surface element that glows on one side or not at all usually needs a new element or socket. An oven that will not reach temperature may have a failed bake element, sensor or control. These are electrical jobs. Switch off the breaker first, and do not attempt gas-valve work.
Dishwasher not cleaning or draining
Filter, spray arms, then drain hose. Hard-water film points to a different cause than a blocked spray arm.
Washer shakes or stops mid-cycle
