Dacor, in short

Dacor is an American kitchen appliance brand. Samsung Electronics America announced in August 2016 that it would acquire Dacor, and said Dacor would keep its brand and its US manufacturing. In 2017 Dacor launched ranges that paired its built-in design with Samsung technology. If you have a Dacor, it may use either older Dacor electronics or newer Samsung-style parts, depending on the year.

Finding the model and serial number

Dacor’s registration page says that on professional ranges the tag is reached through the intake vents, the grill directly under the knobs. On contemporary and transitional ranges it is through the intake vents or under the Dacor logo on the bottom of the door. Some models carry it on the right-hand side frame when the door is open. The Modernist Pro manuals say model and serial are on the inner door trim. The serial begins with a letter showing product type: F for dual fuel, K for gas, J for induction. Check only when the range is cool.
