Viking Repair in West Sacramento
In-home repair for Viking appliances in West Sacramento and nearby communities. An independent repair company.
Viking started in 1987 in Greenwood, Mississippi, when Fred Carl Jr. introduced a professional-grade range for the home. It is now a subsidiary of the Middleby Corporation, which bought it in 2013. Here is how we handle Viking repair for kitchens in West Sacramento and Sacramento.
What Viking sells
Cooking, ventilation, kitchen cleanup and refrigeration appliances, plus outdoor appliances. Ranges, ovens and cooktops are the best known. We repair Viking ranges and cooktops, ovens, dishwashers and refrigerators.
Why a Viking range is not a simple appliance
- Large burners and heavy cast-iron grates mean spills reach igniters and sensors more easily.
- Gas ranges rely on spark ignition, so a weak or wet igniter is a common reason a burner will not light.
- Many models have electronic oven controls and temperature sensors, which fail in ways a simple thermostat does not.
Start here: three checks in order
- Burner will not light. Check that the cap is seated, dry the igniter area, try again.
- Oven not heating. Check that the clock or control is lit. If the display is blank, check the breaker.
- Still failing. Stop and book. Do not remove panels from a gas range yourself.
The gas rule is simple: if you smell gas, leave, avoid switches and flames, call the gas utility. Viking has issued recalls on certain products, and its recall safety page has a lookup form for the model and serial number. Check it if your range is older.
Where to read the model and serial number
Viking says the rating plate on a range is in one of three places: under the left front grate support or burner bowl, on the front of the oven cavity face frame below the control panel, or on the underside of the control panel above the door. Look only when the range is cool.
Other Viking repair jobs
Dishwashers, refrigerators and cooktops are repaired the same way: symptom, then test, then the part. Our dishwasher repair and refrigerator repair pages explain the general steps, and the range and stove repair page covers cooking faults on any brand.
When you call about viking repair, tell us the model and whether the fault is one burner or the whole range. Photos of the label and the error help us bring parts for the first visit. We arrive in a marked vehicle, in uniform, and offer shoe covers.
Booking Viking repair
To book Viking repair, tell us the product (range, cooktop, oven, dishwasher or refrigerator), the model if you have it and what happens when you try to use it. Viking repair on a gas range usually means we want to test ignition and oven control, so please make sure the appliance is cool and clear of pots. We serve West Sacramento and Sacramento, and same-day service is available.
If your Viking is older, tell us the year. Parts availability can change what is practical, and we will say so when we have looked at it.
We are an independent repair company, not affiliated with or authorized by Viking. Brand names are used only to say which appliances we repair.
If one of these sounds like your appliance, you can book a visit or call us. The service call is $80, and the repair price is quoted after our technician has looked at the appliance.

Viking questions
Is Viking owned by the same company as Wolf?+
No. Wikipedia lists Viking as a Middleby subsidiary, while Wolf belongs to Sub-Zero Group.
Can one burner be repaired without replacing the range?+
Yes. Burner faults are usually the igniter, cap or spark module, not the whole range.
My oven door will not close properly, does it matter?+
Yes. A poorly closing door lets heat escape and can overheat the control area. Stop using the oven until it is checked.
Do you service commercial Viking equipment?+
We repair appliances in homes. Ask when you book if your setup is different.
