Why JennAir is a little different
JennAir began in Indianapolis in 1947, making industrial fans. In 1961 it combined a fan with a cooktop and created the first self-ventilated downdraft range, and that heritage is still why JennAir repair so often involves the downdraft system. Maytag acquired Jenn-Air in 1982, and Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006, so JennAir is now a Whirlpool brand. It dropped the hyphen in 2018.

Downdraft vent weak or noisy
Grease in the filter and blower. Wash the filter if the model allows it (switch it off first). If the blower is loud, it needs a technician.
Oven not heating

- Gas smell: leave, avoid switches and flames, call the gas utility.
- A cooktop with a cracked glass surface: switch it off at the breaker and do not use it.
- A breaker that trips repeatedly.

Follow the manual for your model. Switch the appliance off and let it cool first.
Is JennAir the same as Jenn-Air?+
Same brand. The hyphen was dropped in 2018.
